Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC)is widely used in building materials,coatings,synthetic resins,ceramics, textiles,agriculture,cosmetics,tobacco and other industries.

PRODUCT PROPERTY

1. Properties:This product is a white or slightly yellowish powder,and odorless,tasteless,non-toxic.Water solubility and thickening ability:This product can be dissolved in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution.
2. Dissolution in organic solvent:because it contains a certain amount of hydrophobic methoxy,the product can be dissolved in some organic solvents,or in the solvent mixed with water and organic substances.
3. Salt resistance:As this product is a non-ionic and non polymeric electrolyte,it is relatively stable in the aqueous solution of metal salts or organic electrolytes.
4. Surface activity:The aqueous solution of this product has surface activity,which enables it to have emulsifying effect,protect colloid and relative stability.
5. Thermal gelling effect:when heated to a certain temperature,the aqueous solution of this product can become opaque,generate precipitation,and make the solution lose viscosity.However,it turns into the original solution state after gradually cooling.The temperature at which condensation and precipitation occur depends on the product type, solution concentration and heating rate.
6. Low ash content:As this product is non-ionic,it can be effectively refined by washing with hot water during preparation,so its ash content is very low.
7. PH stability:The viscosity of the aqueous solution of this product is relatively stable in the range of PH 3.0-11.0.Water retention function:because this product is hydrophilic and its aqueous solution is high viscosity.It is added to mortar,gypsum,paint,etc.to maintain high water retention in products.
8. Shape retention:Compared with other water-soluble polymers,the aqueous of this product has Special viscoelastic properties.Its addition has the ability to improve the shape of extruded ceramic products.
9. Lubricity: adding this product can reduce the friction coefficient and improve lubricity of extruded ceramic products and cement products.
10. Fim forming property: This product can produce strong,flexible,transparent sheets with good oil and ester resistance.
